Centre for Information Policy Leadership

Conflicting Legal Requirements

Legal requirements placed on US companies related to national security, accountability, and digital discovery in the US create compliance conflicts for global American companies. By educating policymakers, drafting white papers and law review articles and organizing public forums, the Centre takes on specific issues in this area, such as outsourcing requirements in Canada, whistle-blowing requirements related to Sarbanes-Oxley and e-discovery requirements, and works with global leaders in business and government to resolve these conflicting requirements.
