Laila Abdelaziz

Laila Abdelaziz is a Privacy and Data Policy Manager at CIPL based in our Washington D.C office. Laila spearheads our work on biometric data, develops thought leadership on AI technologies and works with our global team on creating forward-thinking approaches to vital issues such as  international data transfers and neurotechnology.

Prior to her role at CIPL, Laila worked as a Student Attorney at the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, where she utilized her legal expertise to provide legal representation to low-income taxpayers. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Tech, Law & Security Program at American University Washington College of Law. Laila holds a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Florida.

Laila’s diverse experience and deep knowledge of existing and emerging privacy frameworks around the world strengthen CIPL’s mission to advance responsible data governance and ensure robust, accountability-based privacy policies globally.
