CIPL and Hunton Host Timely U.S. Policy Event

On 30 March, the CIPL and Hunton hosted a small, senior-level luncheon alongside the first day of the IAPP Global Summit. The session brought together practitioners and policymakers for an in-depth discussion on how developments in the 119th Congress are shaping the future of privacy, AI, children’s online safety, and broader data policy.

The fireside chat between Hunton Partner Paul Martino and Evangelos Razis, Counsel to the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, offered valuable insights into what’s happening on the Hill and what organizations should be watching closely in the months ahead. The discussion – followed by a lively Q&A – highlighted just how fast-moving the legislative landscape has become and how important it is for companies to stay engaged and informed.

It was a great opportunity to connect with peers, exchange perspectives, and reflect on what meaningful privacy regulation could look like in practice.

Thank you to all participants for such an engaging discussion!
