Ashley Lam

Ashley is a data privacy and compliance leader with extensive experience embedding privacy-by-design principles into product development.

Most recently at Meta in London, Ashley led privacy reviews across multiple teams and owned the cross-functional privacy process covering ads products and features, collaborating with engineers and product managers to operationalize privacy and safety controls at scale. Prior to this, she worked on an end-to-end GDPR compliance framework from the ground up at ag-Grid, acting as de facto Privacy Lead ahead of GDPR’s entry into force.

Ashley’s background spans technology, law, and life sciences, which allows her to contribute a distinctive ability to translate regulatory complexity into pragmatic solutions across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba.  She is IAPP CIPM certified and is currently pursuing the CIPP/E.
