Marc Placzek is an experienced Executive Leader and Lawyer focusing on Digital Trust covering all topics on Data, Privacy, AI, and Ethics. He leads teams to develop data governance, privacy, and responsible AI programs that align with business goals and global regulatory requirements. Marc has held various leadership positions such as Chief Privacy and Data Protection Officer as well as Privacy Counsel in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific complemented by Board memberships and advisory appointments.
Marc is a firm believer that digital trust and driving business goals through data is not mutually exclusive but rather complimentary. He works on the intersection of digital (consumer) trust and respective business goals to ensure the highest degree of data hygiene, ethical data use and compliance with international rules while delivering the best results for the business.
Marc is a member of the IAPP Research Advisory Board and frequent speaker at their conferences and other leading events on data, privacy, AI, compliance and risk related topics.
