Roslyn Vadala

Roslyn is a strategic privacy advisor and accomplished lawyer with over 15 years’ experience at multi-national companies, including medical devices, food manufacturing and consumer electronics. Roslyn has expertise in global privacy and data protection, data ethics, responsible AI and successfully supporting business while effectively managing risk.

Most recently, Roslyn was the Chief Privacy Officer at Cochlear Limited, the global leader in implantable hearing solutions, where she led the global team responsible for legal compliance, policy and regulatory engagement on privacy and data protection. Roslyn was also a founding member of the AI Governance Steering Committee. Prior to joining Cochlear, Roslyn was the Senior Legal Counsel – Data Protection & Digital at Nestlé’s global headquarters in Switzerland, leading Nestlé’s GDPR compliance and global privacy program, and application for Binding Corporate Rules.

Roslyn holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts (Music) degree from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law, Sydney.

Roslyn is a frequent speaker at conferences and is a mentor in the W@Privacy Mentorship Program. She is an editorial board member of the Journal of Data Protection and Privacy and was previously a member of the International Pharmaceutical Medical Device Consortium, the WFA Data Ethics Board and the Swiss Holdings Data Protection Taskforce.
