Zoltan is an experienced cybersecurity and privacy subject matter expert. Based in Brussels since 2004, he is intimately familiar with the EU Institutions and European policy and lawmaking.

Most recently, Zoltan was the Director of Global Privacy Compliance at McKinsey & Company, where he helped redesign and upgrade the privacy program, and served on the firm’s Responsible AI Governance Group. Prior to that, he was senior corporate counsel global privacy at Broadcom, where he created, launched and managed the company’s proprietary Privacy by Design framework for cybersecurity and identity management products, payment security services, mainframe software, and audiovisual media hardware. He had come to that role through Broadcom’s acquisition of Symantec’s enterprise-facing cybersecurity business, where, as the global director of GDPR Strategy, Zoltan had helped overhaul the global privacy program by spearheading the company’s GDPR compliance project. Before embracing this legal and compliance role, he had served several years on Symantec’s EMEA government affairs team, where his main focus areas were the GDPR legislative process, cybersecurity, cyberdefence, cybercrime and public-private partnerships. Prior to joining the tech industry, Zoltan had served as a lobbyist for the European Aluminium Association, and as a European Parliament staffer before that.

Zoltan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), as well as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) with the IAPP. He is also Cybersecurity Certified with ISC². He holds a Master’s Degree in Law from University Pantheon Assas Paris II and has been a guest lecturer on privacy at the Solvay Business School.
