Peter A. Rabinowitz is a U.S. based strategic, business and policy advisor combining an interdisciplinary background in law, management consulting, business leadership, and government service with broad and deep global experience advising clients on privacy, data protection, security, consumer protection, and engagement in the innovative, interconnected data-driven digital world.
He has served as global Chief Privacy Officer of PayPal and global Chief Privacy Counsel of American Express; Director of the Privacy Advisory Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP; Senior Attorney for Privacy at Pfizer pharmaceuticals; and as a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Prudential. Peter began his legal career with a major international law firm. His government experience includes service with the New York State Attorney General’s Office and as Press Secretary to a Member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Peter is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., with Distinction in American Studies) and received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the NYU Law Review.
He has been engaged with the Centre for Information Policy Leadership for many years as a corporate representative and has served as Co-Chair of the Financial Services Industry Working Group of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Peter also is active in volunteer and leadership roles with charitable and community service organizations.
