CIPL & CEDIS-IDP Effective LGPD Project
Project Description
CIPL and the Centro de Estudos de Direito, Internet e Sociedade of Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público (CEDIS-IDP) have been partnering in shaping data protection in Brazil since 2015. In July 2019, we have launched the Effective LGPD joint-project with the vision of promoting and encouraging effective implementation and regulation of the Brazilian data protection law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – LGPD) through information sharing and best practices.
With a renewed branding and partnership, CIPL and CEDIS-IDP are happy to announce a series of seven events to be organized in 2021 and four papers planned for publication during this year. The topics covered in the project are also in line with the strategy and priorities of the new Brazilian data protection authority (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados – ANPD). Project participants include local and global data privacy experts from leading organizations, law firms, public sector, civil society and academia. If you would like to take part in this project, please email Giovanna Carloni ([email protected]). Read the Portuguese description of the project by CEDIS-IDP here. |
