Sara Hoffman,

Dr. Sára Gabriella Hoffman is the Head of Security Engineering for a SaaS company in the defense sector. Her and her teams’ responsibilities include the full security engineering lifecycle for software development. Sara also oversees the company’s data strategy.
 
Sára held several roles over 6 years in global privacy, data protection and cybersecurity for Stripe. She established the data protection program at Stripe as the company’s first dedicated privacy hire. She later led Stripe’s Product Security Engineering Division.
 
Prior to Stripe, Sára worked for an international law firm focusing on privacy, data protection and antitrust law. She is admitted to practice law in both Germany and California.
 
As Microsoft Fellow at Stanford, she studied technical and legal aspects of setting up data centers and protecting information from a data security perspective. In 2013, she joined the faculty of Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin, where she teaches classes on privacy engineering, data protection and competition law, as well as law & economics.
